i think i hate the vagueness of content—art is intentional! someone took time to make it! the least we can do is call it what it is, no matter what it is
sooo real. I often find myself dying a little inside when friends from back home introduce me to their new friends as “the influencer creator friend who lives in LA” before I start to clarify, for the millionth time, that no I’m a writer by trade and someone who makes content for fun.
what you write is a recurring thought i've been having for over two years. the fact that writers, artists, and others have to settle with the word "content creator" feels unfair. thank you for writing this. i hope we can all feel enough with the labels we choose to carry!<3
I recently wrote a piece about this too - I create art, not content. I agree with you 1000%!!!!
